Creating a website is one thing, getting people to visit it is quite another. When it comes to cosmetic surgery advertising, the only way to gain new patients through your website is to first get traffic to your site. Further, that should be highly targeted traffic, or visitors who are actually interested in and seeking out cosmetic surgery. In order to get more traffic, you must promote your website. The following are excellent resources for promoting your site and increasing your traffic:

  • Forums/Message Boards. Forums and message boards are a great outlet for promoting your website. Find a few good plastic surgery forums and get in the habit of posting on them regularly. You should offer good, practical advice to other posters in order to establish yourself as an expert within your field. Each of your posts should include a signature with a text link to your website.
  • Search Engines And Directories. It’s important that you get your website indexed by the major search engines and directories. The search engines are capable of providing most of the traffic to your site. Make sure, too, that your pages are well optimized to perform well in the search engines and that you’re targeting effective keywords and keyword phrases.

  • Links. Consider link exchange programs in which you exchange links with relevant websites. These websites will add a link to your website on their site, thus providing a direct route to bring traffic to your site.
  • Print Your URL. Include your URL on all sorts of printed material, such as business cards, invoices, print advertisements, and so on.
