Don't Just Get Them To Your SiteGood website design and optimization are not just about getting visitors to your site, they’re also about getting them to return to your site again and again. Realistically speaking, it may not be all that likely that a person would visit a site just once and immediately buy the offered product or service or, in the case of plastic surgeon marketing, become a patient. It may take another visit, three visits, even seven visits or more before visitors are ready to take the next step. This is especially true when it comes to plastic surgeon marketing on the Internet. For many, deciding to undergo a plastic surgery procedure and choosing a plastic surgeon are serious, weighty decisions, ones that many will and should take time and careful consideration with. A potential patient may first visit your site in search of information about the particular procedure they’re interested in. They may come back another time to look at your before-and-after patient photos. It may take a third visit for to review your testimonials and your credentials and qualifications. And if they’re still not certain, it may take even more visits before they actually contact you.

Because of this, it’s important that you give visitors reasons to return to your site so that they will think of you when they are ready to move forward. The following are elements that you can incorporate into your website to keep your visitors coming back:

  • Content. Quality content is one of the best ways to get visitors returning to your site again and again. Provide your visitors with useful, practical information that they need to know about plastic surgery. Give them the information that they’re looking for.
  • Updates. Continually updating your site also encourages visitors to return. Make sure that the content you provide is not only quality content, but fresh, updated content as well. If a great new technique is available for liposuction, write an article about it. Be sure to let your visitors know that your site is updated regularly by adding a ‘What’s New’ page and include other updates, such as new services you offer, new features on your site, new office hours, and so on.
  • Forum. Forums and message board are another great way to encourage your visitors to come back to your site. Forums allow people to connect with others like them and to learn, share, and voice their opinions and concerns. They’ll return to your forum to read answers to posts and see what’s new.
  • Freebies and Contests. For the average website directly selling a product or service, freebies and contests are a great way to get visitors back. With plastic surgeon marketing, however, this isn’t always applicable. You’re not likely to give away a free procedure, and even if you could it doesn’t lend much to your credibility and professionalism. Sometimes, though, the principals that apply to other website marketing can be applied to plastic surgeon marketing with a little creativity. For instance, the main thing behind freebies is that people love to see the word ‘free’. Thus, you could offer a free consultation whether in-person, which you probably already do, or even online.
