I am getting ready to build a website for my practice. Are there and tips you can share as to things I should not do?

The main thing to remember is to keep it simple. You can keep it simple by staying away from a lot of animation. Too much animation can cause website visitors to get irritated and leave your site.

What do you think about adding music to a site?

It should be avoided at all costs. If you MUST have it, then my advice would be to have it user controlled so they can turn it on or off based on their desire.

Yeah, I agree. I do not care for music playing on websites.

My question is about pages that are under construction. It is ok to put up the page with an image saying its under construction?

It is best to not put a page or site online that is stil udner construction.
