Flash and websites

What is the deal with Flash and websites. Is it ok to use it? What if I want to go with a flash only site?

Using Flash in your website has some drawbacks. Th begin with, it is not search engine friendly so haveing a full Flash site will hurt your rankings.

Another drawback is the load times. Flash programmers will use a loading animated scene to let visitors know what is going on, but generally speaking, you will have 4 - 5 seconds until visitors decide to move on to another site.
