On your website, you talk a lot about content and its importance. I'm curious, what exactly does content have to do with advertising and getting results?



Well, content is important in two ways, regardless of whether your chief strategy is advertising (e.g. pay-per-click) or marketing (e.g. search engine optimization). First, content provides the people searching with what they are looking for. Remember, getting visitors to your site is just the first step -- getting them to take action is the second step. If you can individually target your visitors and provide relevant information, then you can address the second step very effectively.

Next, when it comes to search engine optimization -- getting high rankings in the 'natural' search results -- content is king. Search engines like content, and the more of it they see, the more they will like your site... especially if you update that content often.
