PPC vs SEO

Which is better for getting more traffic to my site?

PPC otherwise known as pay-per click, can get you immediate results in traffic to your site. SEO or search engine optimization if done properly can have a long lasting affect on the amount of traffic to your site. The downside to proper SEO is that it can take a lot of time to start seeing the results pan out.

In our opinion, it is best to do both. When you launch your site be sure that it is optimized properly for the search engines. While you wait for those results you can launch a PPC campaign to start getting that traffic. Once your natural SEO traffic begins to blossom, you can wean yourself off of the PPC band wagon.

If PPC gets my site traffic, why not just use that?

A very good question, but one we have the answer to. While PPC will get you traffic, it will cost you a pretty penny every month to keep that campaign running. If your site does not have good SEO applied and your natural results (which are the non PPC results that search engines display) do not have a strong presence, you will have to continue to pay the PPC way for your sites traffic. So you can see by having food SEO kicking in after starting off with some PPC, you can capture decent amounts of traffic without having to continue to pay for that placement.

Hope that helps!
