Vivisimo And MSN Win FirstGov Contract

Vivisimo and MSN have been awarded a contract for the redesign of the FirstGov Web portal located at www.FirstGov.gov . FirstGov is the official portal of the United States Government with millions of visitors.

Vivisimo is known for the creation of innovative software which accesses and collects the world's information in order to provide better search and discovery. They will be providing enhanced search results for the FirstGov Web portal, which will include new user features like government news and image search. The contract teams Vivisimo with Microsoft's MSN Search service. MSN Search will provide extensive coverage of government documents as well as filtering-related operators. Vivisimo's Velocity software and Clusty Web search platforms will be used to selectively crawl and meta-search content related to federal and local government, combining both MSN Search and Vivisimo results for users.
