What do do about a problem

Hi there. WE're in a bind here. We had used the services of an SEO to market our practice, but I've since learned that they used a number of techniques that had us banned from Google. Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

That's too bad. We hear stories like this a lot. Yes, there are a few things you can do. First, you have to look at the site closely to see what they did that got you banned. Was it cloaking? Hidden text? There are many 'bad' things they could have done to put you in the situation, and the first thing you must do is resolve them. Google wants to see good, quality content -- and lots of it. Then, once you have cleaned up the site, submit a reinclusion request to Google. Bear in mind that it will take a while to get results... perhaps as much as a year... but once you submit that request, you've done everything in your power to get re-indexed. Good luck!
