Cosmetic Surgery Marketing: Don't Forget The Spiders
First, it's important to supply the spiders with text. Spiders generally like a lot of text, and they can get confused when it comes to a lot of other stuff. Spiders typically ignore information in graphics unless you provide ALT text descriptions for your graphics, particularly ones with keywords. Be sure to display any important information that's in a graphic file in a text format as well for the spiders. Splash pages can pose particular problems for spiders when they contain little or no information so avoid submitting them to the search engines and only submit your main content pages instead. Though the search engines are constantly changing the algorithms they use for ranking pages, there are certain elements that remain important. Because spiders tend to look for the following, be sure to incorporate these into your pages: TITLE tags, META tags, header tags, keywords, and links. It's also important that you show certain things to the spiders quickly. Some spiders don't necessarily read all of the text on your pages. They often assume that the information found early on the page is the most important. As such, be sure to quickly and clearly get to your most important information and be sure to include your keywords early on. |
